Behavioral Health Director

Dr. Krista Armenta-Belen

Dr. Armenta-Belen, a Chumash descendant who grew up on the Santa Ynez reservation, has been the Behavioral Health Director since January 2014. She has worked with the clinic since 2010 while completing her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, Santa Barbara and her Doctorate in Behavioral Health from Arizona State University. Krista is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and shares that her goal has always been to return to the reservation to work with her people. She has a passion for working with the underserved and Native populations and wants to assist the clinic and Behavioral Health department in setting up a culture of wellness and prevention that has a strong foundation in the community.
